Easter weekend at Wyalkatchem Traveller’s Park arrived in a heartbeat, and we couldn’t wait to welcome our guests!

The fuel crisis may have slowed things down, but the adventurous guests who joined us were rewarded with a fantastic and fun-filled long weekend.

Our local food businesses remained open all weekend, offering a fantastic selection of venues for a relaxing drink or a delicious meal

On Good Friday, after a day of exploring the stunning local scenery, guests returned to Wyalkatchem Traveller’s Park for a relaxing delightful Happy Hour.

Guests shared stories over a spread of homemade treats, including scones with jam and cream, traditional Hot Cross Buns, and savory French Onion dip

The evening continued at the Wyalkatchem Hotel starting at 6:00 PM. Between the crispy beer-battered Barramundi and the classic Chicken Parmis, the meals were truly spectacular, and we all returned to the Park perfectly satisfied after a wonderful evening.

Easter Saturday was another action-packed day! Guests enjoyed exploring
further afield, cycling along our scenic bike tracks, or taking a
refreshing dip in the local Olympic-sized swimming pool.

Happy Hour brought everyone together around delicious platters of scrumptious food, creating a cozy atmosphere. With two days of adventure behind us, guests were ready for a good night’s rest after the festivities.

Easter Sunday began with an early start as the Park filled with the joyful sounds of our yearly Easter Egg Hunt.

The Park came alive with children hunting for treats, delighted squeals of ‘There’s an egg!’ and ‘I found another one!’ echoed throughout the morning and it was wonderful to see so many parents getting involved in the spirit of the morning.

After a busy morning exploring the Wyalkatchem Museum and the town’s Historical Walk, the afternoon was all about relaxation. The Park was filled with guests enjoying the quiet—reading, solving crosswords, and catching up on sleep

We enjoyed one last festive Happy Hour with plenty of homemade carrot cake and delicious grazing platters. The evening was a bit shorter as everyone started packing up, ready for a smooth journey home the next day.

Easter Monday was filled with fond farewells as guests said their goodbyes and departed throughout the morning, taking wonderful memories of the weekend with them.

If you missed out on the fun this year, we’d love to have you join us next time!
