The long weekend kicked off with a flurry of activity at Wyalkatchem Travellers Park.
Early Friday afternoon, a long line of caravans formed as travellers waited to check in for the long weekend
Once the large group of caravaners had checked in and set up, it was time to sit back and relax
Friendly conversations filled the caravan park as guests made exciting plans, discovering the warmth and hidden treasures that Wyalkatchem has to offer.
As 5pm grew closer, the group strolled over to the Kevin Jones camp kitchen to enjoy a relaxing Happy Hour together.

After introductions, the group settled in for lively conversations about where to go and what to see next.
Several interesting sites were chosen, and the conversation continued over drinks and nibbles.
The following morning some of the club members headed to the Wyalkatchem Garden Cafe, whilst others went to the Wyalkatchem museum to see the new exhibits.
From the glowing feedback received, breakfast was thoroughly enjoyed and the new museum exhibits were very well received.
Members of the Wyalkatchem community welcomed the caravaners, stopping to chat with them in the café and around town as they explored our friendly town.
The Tag-a-long Club spent the morning and early afternoon sightseeing at several interesting places.
The club members gathered at 4pm to enjoy an engaging dingo demonstration presented by Dingo Dave and Georgie.

During the demonstration, club members were given small cubes of Georgie’s favourite cheese. Each time Georgie approached a member, she was rewarded with a tasty treat, while the lucky participant enjoyed an unforgettable, up-close encounter with a dingo.

Of course being a dingo Georgie buried her cheese snacks, all around the camp fire, for later.

The demonstration was well received by all and when it finished those who were not lucky enough to get a close encounter with Georgie, were treated to having a pat whilst Dingo Dave held her up for easier access.
After the demonstration and Georgie had left, the club members went to get glamed up for dinner at the Wyalkatchem Hotel.
The was an unusual silence from the members as the menus were perused and food and drink orders delivered.
Just as the conversations were starting to ramp up, one of the councilors from the Wyalkatchem Shire came over to the table where he and his wife were introduced. The councilor Mr Rod Lawson-Kerr and Fiona then welcomed the club to Wyalkatchem and thank them for choosing to stay in our town.
Mr & Mrs Lawson-Kerr were then asked to join the table for dinner and everyone enjoyed themselves late into the night.
