Wyalkatchem witnessed another breathtaking sunset, setting the perfect backdrop for the unveiling of our newest mural at the street party. It was a vibrant celebration, blending art and nature seamlessly.

The guests who opted to stay overnight had a wonderful experience. The group of six enjoyed a short 100-meter walk to the lively street party.

The children delighted in a ride around the main street aboard Thomas the Tank Engine, generously provided by the local Rotary Club

There was an abundance of activities for the kids to enjoy. The main road was transformed into a vast mural, showcasing the vivid imagination of children with drawings of trucks, suns, flowers, and whimsical creations.

Free face painting was a hit with both the young and the young at heart. The street party came alive with tigers, butterflies, and cats playfully roaming around.

The Wyalkatchem community turned out in full force, warmly welcoming visitors and enthusiastically joining in the festivities.

Food stalls were scattered around the main street, offering something for everyone, including complimentary ice cream, slushy cocktails, and mocktails.

The tantalizing aroma of wood-fired pizzas filled the air, making it nearly impossible to pass by without indulging in a slice or even a whole pizza.

As the evening unfolded, Ash and Ben’s band serenaded the crowd with a captivating mix of classic and contemporary songs. The melodic tunes quickly inspired joyful dancing in the streets.

The street soon transformed into a scene reminiscent of a David Bowie and Mick Jagger music video, perhaps even echoing the vibrant energy of a Village People clip

After dancing in the street, the hungry crowd, including the little ones, flocked to the local Wyalkatchem Hotel, which quickly filled with eager diners. The band also relocated to the hotel’s beer garden, continuing to provide toe-tapping music for all to enjoy.

As the event drew to a close, the exhausted yet satisfied guests made their way back to the Wyalkatchem Travellers Park, while locals headed home to recharge for Wyalkatchem’s next major event.

Stay tuned for updates on future happenings!
